U40 Encircling Coil

Encircling Coils (OD coils) are typically used for on-line inspection of tubes, bars and wires.

These specialty coils are typically used for detecting manufacturing-related flaws such as inclusions, porosity, cracks, laps, seams, etc. Encircling coils are also used when testing for correct heat treatment.

Also available:

  • U90 series coils for diameters from 45mm to 90mm.
  • U20 series coils for diameters from 0.5mm to 20mm.
